LIGHTING FIRES IN QUEENSLAND
Under section 65 of the Fire and Rescue Act 1990, any person wishing to light a fire in an open area of more than 2 meters in any direction must be in possession of, and comply with, a permit to light fire.

If you wish to join a Rural Fire Brigade there are a number of steps you need to follow in the application process. The following forms are more for information purposes, but if you are currently enquiring about joining you can print these forms and have them completed before your initial interview with the 1st Officer.
