Crews from Toogoom Rural Fire Brigade were called to a fire on Nobbs Road on Tuesday Night which was allegedly deliberately lit.
Crews were able to contain the fire in about 30 minutes using a direct attack and foam to secure the area. Although if the fire had spread to nieghbouring vegetation it could have been alot worse. Damage was contained to a short length of fenceline.

Investigations on the night by a fire officer and a fire warden revealed evidence into the cause of the fire.
"Evidence suggests that all three recent fires are connected and the most likely outcome is that the person involved could face a fine or even criminal charges as investigations continue. This is a timely reminder to all local residents that it is illegal to conduct burning off activities without a permit, if a permit is required, and that Queensland Fire and Rescue has a Zero Tolerance for people endangering the community by lighting illegal fires"
Investigations are continuing
